I really liked Kell in ths book. The fact that he lost a wife / unborn son early in life added a extra level to him. In all of these books - the hero is not just s warrior but has lived thru personal tragedy or abuse.
Emily is ok - did not fall in love with her. She was part of a kidnap / drug abuse that is one of the kick off / starting points to this whole story line. Oh - but somehow she was not raped, like the other two girls (one who died from the events). This prior event seems to have almost no impact on her. Her life is about not standing up to dear old Dad (cause she loves him and doesn't want to fight) - who is over protective and wants to keep her in a bubble. However she is able to get her body guards to somehow walk on the wild side - well sort of.
This book was kind of filler to get to both Iam's and Nathan/Noah's stories.
332 pages.
