His books Deep Descent and Dark Descent are historical-adventure nonfiction works about notorious shipwrecks. Kevin has written several articles about true crimes that have appeared in Connecticut Magazine and several men's magazines. He has written St. Martin's True Crime titles including Desire Turned Deadly, If You Really Loved Me and A Family Cursed. Kevin lives in Brewster, NY.

So What Happened??

I don't like to leave bad reviews....... But. This book looked interesting: it was yet another murder of a wife by her husband (probably), and it happened down the street from where Bill and Hillary Clinton live in Chappaqua, NY. Interesting setting. Well, after reading the book I still don't know who these people are/were, or what happened. The husband had had an affair for years, but there is no info about the woman. The wife was supposedly a good woman, but who was she?? The kids? Three of them, but who are they?
Apparently, it's hard to write true crime books lately because lots of them seem to be written based on information from newspapers or magazine articles, but I guess nothing was ever written about the facts of this case, because there aren't any in this book. Talk about a hushed-up case. I guess the reason I never heard anything about this one is because there were never any details of any sort given to the press, except for the fact that a woman is dead, her husband went on trial, and there was an outcome. I guess the husband killed her, but why and how?

Like Dateline in Book Form

I found this book very interesting. I picked it up at Walmart while waiting for a prescription and was into the story after those 20 minutes enough to come home and buy it. It's basically like an episode of Dateline in book format and I found it very interesting. It's a quick read, not too many pages, but definitely worth picking up if you enjoy the true crime genre.
